Editor's Note: The Santiago Scalloped Desk draws inspiration from traditional antique washstands, reimagined with playful elegance. Crafted from solid timber using traditional methods, it features softly defined scalloped detailing, hand-turned legs, and decorative upstand finials.

Two dovetailed drawers sit neatly beneath a honed Calacatta marble top, selected for its gentle grey and beige veining that complements the warmth of the wood. A timeless writing desk that balances character, craftsmanship, and everyday practicality.

The piece shown in the photos is crafted in French Oak with a Blend #31 finish.

Exposed wood surfaces are finished with Osmo Polyx Oil, selected for its durability and protection against everyday wear.

To maintain the finish, wipe away any spills or water marks promptly using a dry cloth, as prolonged contact with moisture may cause staining. Avoid leaving liquids or damp items on the surface.

For routine care, gently dust or vacuum using a soft brush attachment. Surfaces may be cleaned occasionally with a lightly damp cloth. Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner can be used periodically to refresh and protect the finish.

To care for marble, clean with a pH-neutral cleaner and apply a stone sealer regularly to protect against stains and moisture. Wipe up spills immediately, especially acidic ones, to prevent etching and avoid abrasive cleaners; instead, use a soft cloth or sponge.
